  A B S T R A C T

The aim of study was focused in application of simple hydrologic model of Mock to recalculate water balance at Cacaban dam irrigation system. The model is basically rainfall-run-off relationship model. It contains three tanks arranged in vertical position. Six parameters in the model were optimized by trial and error. The Cacaban dam irrigation system is located at Central Java. The dam was constructed mainly for supplying water to irrigate 6628 ha of land.button-read-more

DEVELOPMENT INSTRUMENT OF QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE

Development instrument of quantitative assessment of irrigation management performance was created in order to evaluate irrigation system. The system contains three element indicators: (i) basic performance indicator as the output reflecting irrigation performance and productivity; (ii) proxy indicator as the input reflecting condition of irrigation infrastructure and irrigation management; and (iii) impact indicator reflecting the social and environment effect; and sustainability. CONSTRAINT AND ACCELERATING FACTORS OF HYDROLOGY AND WATER RESOURCES IN MONSOON REGION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF IRRIGATED PADDY LAND: A Case Study at Bali Island

A B S T R A C T

An analysis of water balance was applied in describing constraint and accelerating factors of hydrology and water resources for the development of irrigated paddy land in Bali Island, a monsoon region of Indonesia. The analysis shows that water availability for supplying irrigated paddy land, domestic use and municipal, and industry at this island has been already in critical condition. Identification of the hydrological characteristics at this island proved that there is high fluctuation of seasonal variation of total rainfall in which 2500-3500 mm of annual rainfall is accumulated during five months in the rainy season. In the dry season is characterized without any rainfall. From this point of view, the availability of water resources from natural is more than enough.                      button-read-more
